My sister texted today that we have a cottage!
Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01580159632301664781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-40342833983766732.post-62303397036819363662017-01-01T05:33:51.703-08:002017-01-01T05:33:51.703-08:00Joe,

Next August, when I will be 62, I'm making my first trip to Isle Royale. I'm lucky enough to be going with Dad and two of my sisters who have been there once before.Joehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01580159632301664781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-40342833983766732.post-13785783401913461562016-11-05T17:11:28.823-07:002016-11-05T17:11:28.823-07:00Thanks, David. Too bad you didn't hike that 3-Mile stretch-it's awesome. But then again, I like the segment between DF and Moskey, so I might be unreliable. (I think I'm the only person who liked that stretch of trail.) I'm so curious about what happens next on your trip! But it does look enticing.

While I've never seen your sandy stretch of beach, there is a fantastic little flat point of land along the trail between Daisy Farm and 3 Mile. When we were there, it had perfect views both ways and a ton of blueberries. I could have stopped and taken a nap there.

Also, nice geological interlude. Much better than my half-remembered info! Looking forward to the next day...DChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12433176037815688789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-40342833983766732.post-28789418157276607012016-10-28T15:47:30.651-07:002016-10-28T15:47:30.651-07:00Bob--thank you.
